The Faerie Art of Deborah Grieves
Enchanted by the magical realms of the Fae from a very young age, Deborah embraced fantasy and mythology with a passion that has only grown stronger in the past three decades. Listening to her parents read to her from Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of Deborah’s earliest memories and she fondly recalls other fantasy classics her parents shared with her such as Lloyd Alexander’s Prydain Chronicles and C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia. This love of books sparked Deborah’s imagination and led to many happy hours penning short stories and drawing fantastical creatures. Deborah’s parents strongly encouraged her creative endeavors and she learned invaluable skills from both; her mother shared her artistic talents, while her father, as an English teacher, lent his expertise in the fields of literature and poetry.

Deborah is originally from San Jose, California, but currently lives in the beautiful Southern Oregon Rogue Valley with her Cavalier Spaniel. She enjoys a day job as graphic designer for a helicopter company and spends her evenings painting. Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, playing videogames, riding her motorcycle and watching movies. Deborah is extremely grateful for the touch of the Fae in her life and hopes, by her art, to help spread faerie blessings to all who view it.
